we’ve got a song that calls for what we’ve always referred to as “gang vocals”. we’ve recently come to the conclusion that 4 people a gang does not make, so we’d like to invite anyone with a bit of free time saturday afternoon to swing by the tank studio in burlington and spend about 20 seconds of your precious time contributing to the album’s vocals. singing ability is not required (in fact, we hope we get at least a couple folks who straight up can’t sing), as this is more of a drunken shoutalong than a delicate flower to be coaxed and caressed with one’s vocal chords.

then on saturday, we’re playing 2 shows at jay peak resort. first one’s at 4:30, second one’s at 7. unsure of exact venue but i think i heard something about a tower bar, and last time we played the international room. oh well, there’ll be signs up probably. if you’re into the wintertime sports activities and also music, or just one of those two things, come check us out! i guarantee it’ll be at least a little less snowy and windy this time (i hope).

With all this excitement how will we find time to write opinion articles about The King of Limbs? We’ll find a way, don’t you worry.

The show at Jay Peak was a great success, and there’s a good chance we’ll be back to play there again before the wintersport season is over. We tried out our newest songs and they all went pretty well. The roads near Jay were pretty nasty, and the wind was blowing something fierce all day, but the bartender was John’s old middle school teacher, and he mixed a mean Seven and Seven.

Anyhow, we hope to have some new shows to post soon. Until then!

Here are the basics:
These shows are TOTALLY UNPLUGGED, no amps, all acoustic (Jason’s even gonna play a mandolin!).

We play for about an hour and a half.

Don’t worry, no cover charge for these shows, but tips are greatly appreciated.
We would rather not play for fewer that 15 people.

In addition to the awesomeness that generally surrounds us, as a thank you for hosting us and getting your friends together, each host will receive a special gift from the band!

Just kidding, it’s simply a coincidence. We’ll be playing with our old pedal steel player’s new band, The Honest Thieves. The show (probably) starts at 9 (I’ll update this info if I hear differently).
